The purpose of our church is based on two key scriptures: The Great Commandment - Jesus said,
"Love the Lord your God with all your heart, soul, mind and strength. This is the first and greatest commandment. And the second is like it: Love your neighbor as yourself." Matt. 37:39.
The Great Commission: Jesus said,
"Go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you."
Matt. 28: 19
1. To love God with all your heart = Worshipful Obedience
2. To love your neighbor = Ministry in a practical way
3. To Go and make disciples = Evangelism
4. To teach them all things = Discipleship
Jesus said, "God out quickly into the streets and alleys of the town and bring in the poor, crippled, the blind and the lame."
Luke 14:21 God has called us to reach out to the hurting! To be used God for His glory!
1. To pray fervently, consistently and in great faith! To have consistent prayer meetings where we agree in prayer.
2. To meet felt needs, hurts and interests. Using special seminars, healing services, food distribution, excellent children's ministries, etc. (85% receive Christ before age 14)
3. To have worship that is designed to so exalt the Lord Jesus that His presence and power will be in our services to touch every area of the lives of those who come to our services. Worship that encourages everyone to completely surrender our lives to the will and plan of God for our lives.
4. To show friendliness, openness and unconditional love for those who come. (Having greeters, hospitality table, lunch after service.)
5. To show through teaching how every believer is called of God and has specific gifts to use. To disciple each believer! Healthy believers will multiply naturally.
6. To have powerful, practical preaching from God's Word to meet the problems of life and inspire faith. A consistency so people can invite their friends in confidence.
7. To have multiple Home Group settings, where much of this can happen.
