Our Story

Treatment for Addiction
Thousands of people have found recovery from their addictions at New Life Community Services in Santa Cruz. Our program is a twelve-step social model that utilizes individualized treatment planning, group therapy, educational classes and other therapeutic components that may be needed.

The Twelve Steps
Treatment programs at New Life have proven to be successful for over 40 years. What is important to us? Since research has long shown that the best success rates for addiction treatment are linked to the “Twelve Steps,” we have made sure the “Steps” are an important part of our treatment strategy. While we incorporate the Twelve Steps throughout treatment we carefully integrate them from a Biblical perspective. We believe that faith is central to recovery for every client willing to give faith a chance.

What We Do
The widely recognized twelve steps are at the heart of New Life Community Services’ therapeutic model. Our approach to treatment challenges the addict to be accountable for their own recovery. Our highly trained staff guides each client through their journey. Beginning with the first assessment we start to develop an individualized treatment plan that is designed to help the client reach their goals.

“New Life has been instrumental in saving my life from drug addiction. I have learned a new way of life in recovery. Not only did New Life help me, they also took in my son. Being a single dad, this is the only place I could find in California that will take in fathers with children for treatment. I am very grateful to New Life for helping me and my son.”

“I am 41 years old and I’ve been trying to get clean for about ten years. This is my sixth residential drug program. I’ve made more progress in 4 months at New Life Community Services than any other program. The staff and clients have been very helpful in my recovery. There is a lot of love support and recovery here at New Life, and I like the nonthreatening family atmosphere. I am very grateful to New Life for all the good things that are happening to me today. ”
